Mobile solution architecture

For a fast and economic introduction, we already provide a range of standard applications for SAP functions based on Movilizer. The following chart shows an overall structure of the mobile solution:

Focus on safety

Movilizer is integrated by a web service interface (in the sense of service-orientated architecture, SOA). Authentication and an encrypted data transfer between customer systems and Movilizer reliably secure the data exchange. Access is always initiated by the customer system: this ensures higher safety and only requires a standard opening of customer systems e. g. using a proxy. This is already standard for internet connections in most enterprises and can also be used by Movilizer.

Supported platforms, mobile devices and hardware

Movilizer supports almost all mobile phones and smartphones available on the market (iPhone, BlackBerry, Android). Furthermore all PDAs with Windows Mobile and tablet PCs (Windows, iPad) are supported. Thus Movilizer guarantees maximum flexibility for the use of different terminal devices without device-specific development efforts.

Support of connected hardware and functions

Movilizer supports the connection of different hardware, including 1D and 2D barcode readers (incl. barcode recognition via camera for different models), internal and external RFID readers and internal and external GPS receivers, as well as photo capturing, downloading of technical documents, and mobile printing.
