Mobile Apps

Enterprises planning to use mobile applications with their business applications need a Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP) which

• makes available mobile applications for different backend systems and server applications from SAP or other manufacturers (in addition to SAP ERP as core system and other SAP solutions for example also PIM servers such as Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Note, portal servers such as MS SharePoint or web-based CRM or distribution systems such as Salesforce.com)
• offers ready-to-use mobile applications and consequently savings regarding development and overall expenses
• supports B2B apps and B2C apps

This is why Movilitas together with its partners has developed a strategy which provides our customers with a complete suite of mobile applications in order to satisfy all mobility requirements. These applications run on two different Mobile Enterprise Application Platforms which can be compared in their functionality: Sybase Unwired Platform and Movilitas Movilizer.

B2B or B2C

In the following we will refer to B2C apps (business to consumers) if an enterprise offers a mobile app to be used by external users (in particular customers, interested people and partners).

If an enterprise uses a mobile app for internal employees we will refer to the applications as B2B.
